Es Devlin is an award winning, international stage designer whose projects range from small scale theatre to global sporting events via opera, dance, pop music and fashion.
Es finds the balance between intimate low budget theatre and large scale stadium projects important and strives to maintain a continuity of aesthetic and intention across all scales of work.
Having designed the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, Es has now collaborated with Fernando Meirelles on the concept for the Opening Ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympics as well as designing performances for Adele and the current U2 Arena tour, new plays at the Royal Court Theatre and Almeida, Benedict Cumberbatch's Hamlet at the Barbican and Carmen on the lake at Bregenz.
She has collaborated with Kanye West since 2005 designing for Touch the Sky, Glow in the Dark, Watch The Throne and Yeezus tours.

Es’s designs have been awarded Olivier, Critics Circle, Evening Standard, TMA, TPI and Linbury awards. She was made OBE in this years New Years Honours List.
